Care Instructions

Before you use as hot pot, please do the followings:

  1. Put water about 70% of capacity and then add fist size of rice.
  2. Start fire with low to make congee, make sure to stir frequently for 1 hour.
  3. Stop fire and leave it for at least 24 hours, preferably 48 hours.
  4. Clean the pot with regular sponge and soap
  5. Dry it completely and it is ready for hot pot cooking.

It will get some crack on the bottom of pot, which is completely normal, and congee will seal it.

Remember, always start fire low, but as pot gets hotter, you can turn it up high.

Do not cool it down with cold water when pot is hot. great difference in temperature will result in crack or break.

After washing, make sure to dry completely, it is clay pot and consumes certain amount of water. if you put away without proper drying, it can get molded.
