Ichiro Mori makes pottery in Bizen where traditional wood-firing is still alive and famous for. He was a sculpture before making a pottery which makes his pottery more artistic and detail oriented. He fires wood-fired kiln twice a year with his father who also a potter. Bizen-wares are made with Yakishime technique which no glaze is used, just clay and wood firing.
