Yoko Tanaka Based in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, Yoko Tanaka creates serene ceramic works that blend natural softness with quiet strength. Her signature technique involves firing ceramic and glass together in the same kiln, allowing the two materials to partially fuse and form organic, translucent surfaces. The result is a subtle interplay of opacity and light—pieces that feel both delicate and enduring. Through her restrained forms and gentle tones, Tanaka’s work captures the beauty of impermanence and the calm rhythm of daily life.
